IN PHOTOS: Our Summer 2019 in review

This summer, Harmony Project musicians collaborated across neighborhoods, cities, and states to bring brand new musical experiences to communities near and far. Check out these highlights from our summer programing!

Art+Rhyme

Our Regional Youth Orchestra and Leimert Park sites visited The Broad Museum and participated in the Art+Rhyme workshop for the new Soul of a Nation exhibition.

Sun Valley

Various Harmony Project students traveled to Idaho for the prestigious Sun Valley Music Festival summer programs. Check out their journey to the big performance on our Instagram.

Seaside Serenade

RYO also hosted a Seaside Serenade after hours at the Lawndale Library, providing a pleasant surprise for the studious library dwellers and neighbors who joined in on the fun.

A Summer Potpourri

Meanwhile, our newly combined Alexandria and Hollywood sites, now known as Hollywood Youth Orchestra at Alexandria, joined forces to offer up a Summer Potpourri of jazz, film classics, and Oaxacna banda.

EXPO Summer Music Festival

Many families and supporters enjoyed a sunny Saturday with our YOLA at EXPO Center site for a communal celebration of music in the park.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Harmony Project Summer without our annual trip to the Hollywood Bowl!

We can’t wait to see you all again in the Fall!

Help us kick off another strong year of programming.
